Sandy Johnson

Sandy Johnson is the Executive Director for First Tee — Southern Colorado. As the Executive Director, Sandy provides the overall strategic and operational management of all fiscal and program operations, implements policies, evaluates program and service data, and oversees the community engagement of the chapter.

Sandy’s career began at the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, where she was the Director of Programs and Events. She is a founder of the Rising Professionals, a young professionals group that focuses on professional development, civic engagement and mentorship. Sandy understood the importance of getting young professionals more involved in the community to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Sandy then moved on to Conspire! Franchising and HealthQuest Medical, as the Director of Operations. As the Director of Operations, Sandy helped the corporate office and the franchisees with website management, social media, oversight of marketing intelligence tools, I.T. support, and new product research and development. She also evaluated and expanded appropriate operational systems for improvement of corporate efficiency for both the franchise system and HealthQuest Medical.

In 2011, Sandy was awarded one of the Top 25 Most Influential Young Professionals in Colorado by Colorado Biz Magazine. She was also awarded a Special Recognition Awarded through her work with the Rising Professionals from the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, the Rising Stars Award through the Colorado Springs Business Journal and the Community Trustee Award through Leadership Pikes Peak. She has sat on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Advisory Board and Associate Board, where she served as Chair, as well as the Multiple Sclerosis Alliance Board of Directors. Sandy is a graduate of the Leadership NOW! program through Leadership Pikes Peak.

Sandy Johnson is a third generation native of Colorado Springs. She received her undergraduate degree in Organizational Communications from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, and holds an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Phoenix. Sandy enjoys spending time with her husband Nathan and children Decker and Gracie.
